The Philadelphia Art Museum Day Trip

I first spent significant time at the Philadelphia Museum of Art at some single’s mixers in my early 20′s. On one particular Wednesday evening (at least I think it was Wednesday) I was on my way to the men’s room when I turned the corner and bumped, almost literally, into van Gogh’s “Rain.”
I was stunned by the painting’s beauty and realized that I might want to consider checking out more than recent art school co-eds. I’m still visiting the museum, though it’s now with kids in tow
In addition to a fantastic collection of art you can tour through armor, artifacts and more. The museum also brings in fantastic collections periodically. Recent exhibits include Cezanne, Dali and Matisse.
The Philadelphia Museum of Art welcomes nearly a million visitors each year and visitors could literally spend a weekend at the museum and still wish they had another day.
